Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully before downloading, installing or using Nolio Invoice. They explain the conditions that apply when you use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing or using the Nolio Invoice macOS application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Nolio Invoice is developed and operated by HarbourByte (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

2. Description of the App

Nolio Invoice is a macOS invoicing and business management application designed to help freelancers, sole traders and small businesses create professional invoices and quotes.

The App allows users to:

  • Create invoices and quotes
  • Manage customers and business details
  • Build reusable product and service catalogues
  • Generate invoice previews and PDF exports
  • Optionally sync data using Apple iCloud

Nolio Invoice is intended as a productivity and invoicing tool.

3. No Financial or Legal Advice

Nolio Invoice is provided as a business productivity tool only.

  • The App does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice
  • You are responsible for ensuring your invoices and records comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Any financial decisions or business actions taken using the App are your responsibility

You should consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Nolio Invoice, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for the information you create and manage within the App
  • You will use the App only for lawful purposes
  • You are responsible for reviewing invoice and customer information before sending or exporting documents
  • You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple ID and iCloud account where applicable

We are not responsible for errors resulting from user-entered data or misuse of the App.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Nolio Invoice offers subscription-based access to premium functionality through Apple In-App Purchases.

  • Payments are processed through Apple
  • Subscription management and cancellations are handled through your Apple account settings
  • Subscription pricing may vary by region
  • Free trials, if offered, are subject to Apple’s subscription policies

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal period.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of Nolio Invoice is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

  • Business data is primarily stored locally on your device
  • Optional iCloud sync uses Apple CloudKit services
  • We do not sell or monetise your business information
  • We do not operate external business-data servers for core app functionality

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, design and functionality associated with Nolio Invoice are the intellectual property of HarbourByte.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify or redistribute the App
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use branding or assets without permission

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. App Availability and Updates

We reserve the right to:

  • Improve or modify features
  • Add or remove functionality
  • Release updates for performance, compatibility or security
  • Temporarily suspend availability for maintenance or legal reasons

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HarbourByte shall not be liable for damages resulting from:

  • Loss of business data
  • Incorrect invoice information
  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Business interruption
  • Inability to use the App

Use of Nolio Invoice is at your own risk.

10. Termination

You may stop using Nolio Invoice at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the App if these Terms are violated.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.

Any updates will be reflected on this page and indicated by an updated revision date.

Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
